Hello

Hello friends,

My name is Elise, but for the sake of this blog, I'm going to identify myself as "Elle".  I love the idea of a nickname that's a shortened version of my (already French) name, and I feel the fact that it means "she" in French makes it just nondescript enough to work for me as I delve into the blogosphere!This blog is a long time coming.  I am a perfectionist and have been inspired by so so many gorgeous blogs, that I've actually psyched myself out enough to be terrified to start my own for fear of it not being as I want it.  And then, I decided to stop dreaming and do something!
This blog will be imperfect.  I would hate for someone to have high expectations and be let down.  I am new to this and even when I've been doing it for a while and feel confident about it, I will STILL not have a perfect blog.  It's just not me.  I love beauty, expression, creativity, health, equality, caring for the earth, fashion, enjoying the little things in life and about a thousand other things.  I have not quite decided how I will express all those things here other than that this will be a blog celebrating the things I feel are worthy of celebration and investment in life.
I have also decided not to wait until I have an amazing camera to begin blogging.  This is the beginning of what I hope will be an awesome journey and I've decided to just get started already!  Please bear with the phone/instagram images that will be coming at you =)
Now I know that people can be very opinionated and like to express their thoughts online more than in person.  I just would like to request now that if you have any suggestions that are helpful or requests or anything you'd like to learn more about from me, please feel free to comment or message me (is that a thing on blogspot?  Well I'll soon find out!).  HOWEVER, if you have criticisms that are not constructive, are offended by my postings or opinions, please feel free to not follow my blog.  I have always found it odd that people think the thoughts and feelings of others have anything to do with them.  I follow some fantastic blogs.  These are amazing women, and I appreciate various parts of their creative personalities.  They are not me, and we may not have everything in common.  If I don't like a blog posting, I stop reading it.  If I find I don't enjoy the tone or content of someone's blog, I stop checking it out.  It is that person's space in the worldwide web, who am I to ask to control it?
Oh and I ramble.  I apologize profusely in advance for this.  However, again, it probably won't change ;)

For those of you who choose to stick around for the random fun that I hope this blog will be, I would like to thank you for showing an interest in my simple (but hopefully, joyful) existence.  For those who see this and go, "meh", thanks for giving me a shot and I hope you find other spaces more fulfilling.
The one thing I most hope to accomplish (other than documenting things that I love in this life) is spreading some joy and happiness and hopefully finding some kindred spirits.
